Rebuilding Together

On National Rebuilding Day volunteers from businesses, churches, community organizations, and families unite with RTVOS to repair and restore houses and non-profit facilities, revitalizing entire communities and making a lasting impression on the families who are served. For many volunteers, it leaves them with the experiences of helping their neighbors in need, which brings them back year after year.

This is a great team building project for your company’s next community involvement event. We are able to turn every dollar invested into the program into four dollars worth of services provided to the homeowner. We couldn’t do this without the generous support of our volunteers and financial supporters.

The responsibilities of the sponsoring organization include appointing a Team Captain to serve as a liaison with Rebuilding Together staff, and attend necessary meetings regarding work scope of your project and meet with the homeowner. All major systems, roofing, and substrate repairs should be completed prior to National Rebuilding Day. This work will be completed by a skilled contractor (when necessary) or someone from your organization with the necessary skills. On National Rebuilding Day 25-45 volunteers from your organization will be needed to paint the interior and exterior of the home, provide any needed landscaping, finishing touches, and general clean up.
